Samsung plans to release a Windows-basedsmartphone in October 2012 Phone this. Not Mango WindowsPhone version 7.5 which will be adopted Samsung, but WindowsPhone 8 with the code name Apollo.

Samsung Taiwan's office responded to a reporter's question aboutwhen to adopt Samsung Windows Phone. Mango is consideredinappropriate to target the high-end segment, which is whySamsung would prefer Apollo.

Samsung's Head of Product Management, Matt Brum, also said similar things. "Windows Phone 8 will come at the end of this year,and will enhance platform capability, and Samsung is to optimizeyour Windows Phone," Brum said.

Samsung managed to become the largest smartphonemanufacturer in 2011 thanks to Android and the Galaxy family,beating Apple's iPhone as a producer. In fact, Samsung beat Nokiaas a producer who for years led the mobile phone market.

Nokia's own Symbian chose to start leaving. The Finnishmanufacturer has a cordial relationship with Microsoft in thesmartphone business.

Until now, Nokia has released three variants of the smartphonefamily Lumia, Lumia namely 710, 800 and Lumia Lumia 900. All of them adopt Windows Phone 7.5 Mango.
